Alf and Rach's adventures... Now in English

We leave tomorrow for India, and we have everything ready. We will go with two huge backpacks and two small ones-- one of them for the camera and the other for the water. I have spent the last week printing the plane and train tickets the emails I had from the hotels and some maps. And I spent a few  “minutes” everyday at work finding some restaurants in Delhi and Agra; I hope Rachel had done her job with Jaipur.

I promised to write or translate my entries because I want Rachel’s family to know our plans, but I did not have time; now I am going to write our adventure in English.

Tomorrow (Saturday June 2nd) we will fly from Madrid to London (Rach will buy some chocolate eggs, Crunchies and other healthy things), and from London to Delhi. We will arrive in India on Sunday June 3rd, very early at the morning. We did not have a hotel till a few days ago, when Rach decided to book the BnB where we will stay at the end of our trip. Charlotte, the owner, bought us the train tickets and gave us good advice, so Rach thought it would be a great idea.
The next day we will travel in a first class train to Agra (about 13 dollar in total for both of us, with great seats, and a great breakfast is included). We will arrive in Agra to visit the incredible Taj Mahal… YESSSSS…. I’m not sure how the hotel will be… I will post some pictures. We need a hotel near the train station, because next day we will leave about 5:30 a.m. for Jaipur, the pink city.
The train from Agra to Jaipur is an Intercity and should take 4 or 5 hours to travel the 100 miles between the two cities. In Jaipur we will stay two nighst in a place that looks like an old palace (100 dollars in total). If the hotel is like in the pictures it will be an incredible place.
The return to Delhi will be by plane. It is less than 150 miles, but by train it takes 4 or 5 hours, so we decided to fly. This will be next Thursday. After two more days in Delhi we are going to return to Spain (Saturday June 9th).
You can follow our adventure day by day with some pictures and entries (in Spanish and English), and of course keep in touch with us by leaving us comments!
Love,
Alf and Rach.
